Nursing Cape

Image
My lovely daughter asked me to knit a nursing cape for her. I want this nursing cape to be light and can be versatile.  And the result is beautiful. Yarn: KnitPicks Stroll yarn, color Poppy Field Tonal, 462 yards/100gram Needle: #4 (3.5mm) for CO and BO, #3 (3.25mm) Finished size: Unblock: = 24” wide and 51” high Block: = 29” wide and 56” high Total yardages = 2 and 8/13 skeins = 462 x (2 8/13) = 1208 yards

Baby Panda Cape

Image
When I saw this panda image, I thought this would be cute for a baby cape.  I put this picture into a graph, and started my creation. Yarn: Light color (LC): Baby Bee Sweet Delight Pomp, color Naked, 340yd/skein Dark color (DC): Baby Bee Sweet Delight, color Airplane, 377yd/skein Needle: #6 (4mm) Gauge: With #6 needle, 21x28 stitches per 4x4 inch, 19x27 stitches per 10x10 cm. Because I could not make my final decision of the blanket shape, I decided to knit the panda portion first.  Later on, I added the remaining portion to make this hooded cape.
